At the Academy of Health, Care and Welfare, our students study to become behavioral scientists, public health scientists, physiotherapists, nurses, social workers, and specialist nurses. We have a research focus on health and welfare. Our work is conducted in collaboration and strategic agreements with regions, municipalities, and companies in the region.

Job Responsibilities

The research assistant is responsible for working with researchers within the relevant knowledge environment on existing research projects with tasks such as data collection and data analysis. The tasks also include inventorying ongoing national and international research for external applications. The knowledge environments are interdisciplinary by nature and span the subjects of work science, care science, public health science, physiotherapy, social work, sociology, and psychology.

In a knowledge environment, research and education meet to solve societal challenges. These environments are designed to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and co-create innovative solutions to complex problems. By integrating different scientific disciplines and societal actors, and gathering expertise and resources, the knowledge environments contribute to developing new methods and strategies for improvements at various levels from individual to overarching societal levels. The knowledge environments are dynamic and creative research and educational environments that lead to groundbreaking innovations and solutions with a positive impact on societal challenges. At HVV, there are three knowledge environments: Sustainable Upbringing, Sustainable Work Life, and Sustainable Aging.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a master's degree in public health science, work science, care science, social work, physiotherapy, sociology, or psychology.

You should have documented academic merits from theory and methodology courses. Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English in writing and speaking, as well as the ability to read, analyze, and write complex texts.

Furthermore, you also need to have documented good ability to compile material, write reports, administer, coordinate, and possess digital competence.

Good ability to speak in front of groups and coordinate the group's work.

Meritorious

For this position, it is meritorious/desirable to have theoretical knowledge, practical experience, or research experience in any of the subjects of public health science, work science, care science, social work, sociology, psychology, or physiotherapy.

Experiences such as collaborations, meetings, etc., within research environments.
